10 Months and Counting...

So, hopefully, today is my last doctor's appointment for this pregnancy. No more gas guzzling trips to Nashville (after the baby's here anyway). Yeah! If I don't go into labor on my own this week, my doc will induce me on Monday June 2nd. Bring on the castor oil!!

The first pic was taken on our 13th anniversary, and the second pic is my 10 month preg picture. Woo Hoo! At any rate, by next week maybe we'll have some baby pics to look at!

Two Times in One Month! (Blogging, that is...)

Yes, you read right. I am officially posting twice in one month! Has to be some sort of record. And, oddly enough, this post has landed on another anniversary - MINE! Today marks 13 years of weddedness (is that a word?) to the same man...at least I think he is. He is starting to remind me more and more of his own dad....

In this picture, Shae and Mr. Mike were utterly and totally confused as to how I tied them in our glowing game of putt-putt golf. By getting 4 (read them and weep) yes, 4 holes in one!!!! I even won a free game because I got a hole in one on a really hard one!! Woo-hoo!! All of this while having to swing around my humongous belly! Sorry, back to the blog. Next pic is of the kids about to be eaten by a 20 foot shark - lovin' every minute...
Moving right along to my baby shower!! Jennifer, Jessica and Becca (Shae's sister) threw me a baby shower last Sunday. We had tomato basil squares, homemade mints, a veggie tray, ham, turkey & cheese on hawaiian rolls and a chocolate cake crafted by Becca that was putting me in hog heaven! The final touch, however, was Mocha Punch - my favorite!! I received a lot of cute things, and finally have the baby's nursery almost ready.

And then, I hesitate to put this pic on after what Lance did to my last preggo pic, but this was taken at the official 9 month mark. Only a few weeks left to go!! Poor belly! I'm thinking this is going to be another large boy!!
Speaking of Lance, I have a picture that needs no "re-touching" whatsoever. It is just him in all of his endowed glory...

Anyhow, enough for one day. Knowing me, you may see a 10 month pregnant pic before the baby is born. Stay tuned!

Happy April Fool's Day!

But more importantly, happy 1 year anniversary to Jessi & Gabe! Time sure does fly when you're having fun! Take a cue from our married bliss...

In other news, tomorrow is Lance's much talked about colonoscopy. Poor Lance! He seems a little confused here as to when to procedure is going to take place...not in 3 days Lance! It is tomorrow! I hope you are drinking your juice...

On to other news, I am now 33 weeks pregnant, and STILL have not completed staining even the first piece of furniture in a long line of furniture to overhaul. I am trying to re-do 3 rooms before the baby comes. I'm afraid I am going to start stumbling around looking like Lance if I don't make some headway soon!

Here is a little glimpse into what I am toting around these days. This pic is actually around 7 months along I think, so I will have to post a more current one at a later date...

Ta-ta for now!

Months Later...

World's worst blogger updater reporting - it has been literally months later since my last post. I am now 28 weeks pregnant...finally hit the 7 month mark. And boy do I feel it! The neat thing is that thanks to MONTHS of NAUSEA, I technically haven't gained any weight yet!! Well, I haven't yet reached my pre-pregnant weight proportions. I thought this was good news - my doctor thinks otherwise. It is funny to actually be scolded as to not having gained enough weight!! This will probably be the ONLY time in my life that I hear that, so yes, I am relishing the moment.

In other news, we have had 3 weeks of sickness at our house...we were doing so good too! We almost made it to spring without the flu, and then it hit with a vengeance...accompanied by bronchitis, ear and sinus infections, and weird one day high fever outbursts. However, it seems we are headed to the light at the end of the tunnel. We are all feeling much better.

We have also taken on some remodeling. For those of you who have been to the homestead, we had the windows on either side of the fireplace removed to open up the enclosed back porch area. That will become Shae's new office as I am taking over his old one for the nursery. Now we have lots of furniture to stain and paint...any help would be most appreciated!!

The kids are doing great. Leanna will be 10 on March 10th (in the Lacoax family this is referred to as the "golden" birthday). I am not sure of the significance other than maybe buying her something gold?? Michael Job will be 9 on August 29th and Gabriel will be 5 on June 29th. I am kind of hoping this baby will be born on May 29th and then all of my boys will match! Weird, I know. And that would require me to go 10 days past my due date, which I do quite frequently anyway.

Now for a little shout out to Lance - today is his 37th birthday! Yeah!! (You are way old and your hair is thinning!) Sorry, my fingers just went there...It is funny that when Mom and Dad were this age, they seemed SO old! I wonder if our kids see us in that way...

Well, time to get the day started. If I continue at my current rate of updating, we will have a new little one the next time you hear from me...

For Real?!?

I was told that my last post's title evoked a question. 9 months later... is it possible that I might be in the "family way"? If I was going to put a title to that, I would have to say something more like "8 Months from Now". Yes, I have have a very tiny bun (more like a bread crumb) in the oven! I found out yesterday that I am roughly 7 weeks preggo!! We told the kids, who were elated, and of course Mam-Maw (Shae's mom) was ecstatic.

So, for those dear cousins of mine who rarely read the blogs anymore, you may not know this news until you see me next time toting a new youngster!!

For now I must get back to nausea, sweet nausea....

Nearly 9 Months Later...

No, the last virus I wrote about did not kill us all out. We are, in fact, very much alive and growing by leaps and bounds...

Where to begin? Since I can't remember all that has happened in the last 9 months, suffice it to say we look about the same (excepting the entire family needs haircuts). It was good to see everyone (did anybody see Christel?) up at Grandma's in August. A good time was had by all. Jodi did an awesome job of food, games and movie production. Thank You!!

We are looking forward to a visit from Grandma and the Aunts this next week. Catch you all later...

Where Does the Time Go?

Well, dearest cousins, it seems as though we have all hit a blogging plateau...where is everybody? Please come back and blog, blog, blog.

January has flown by as though in a whirlwind, that much is sure. It seems like most of the family has been sick this entire month. My entire crew (except myself) are just getting over a nasty stomach virus. Gabriel started the whole thing. I was just beginning to think we had gotten off easy when MJ, Leanna, and Shae (in that order and literally minutes apart) were "struck". That was a night to remember......unfortunately, I had the bright idea of ordering Papa Johns pizza for lunch that day. To make matters worse, Leanna decided to eat broccoli just minutes before going to bed. Not a good combination, I always say.

We are sick of being sick.

Anyway, maybe I will have something more interesting than the plague to write about in February. Here's hoping...

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good...

Pink Eye!?! Yes, far be it from us to have a "normal" Christmas season. After all the hoopla (?) and merriment, which Lance so kindly blogged for us all, Gabriel decided enough drama wasn't had. He awoke a day after Christmas with weepy eyes which quickly turned in to no eyes in sight, just crud. For those of you who have had conjunctivitis, you know it is a nasty, gooey, gunky affair. Highly contagious, too. Lovely...

..........................................................................

I have a few C'mas pics, too. These may shed some light on who exactly, Lance, was hording the presents...

Darren's REAL Surprise Party

Lest we forget, Darren was really surprised with this little party. Looks like Miah and Aunt Niki are singing...

Practice Post

I am trying to upload pictures. Did it work?

News Flash

Mere minutes ago, while trying to pull the 9 ft. C'mas tree out of storage, a low beam cracked into my head causing me to bite my blasted lip. Maybe it was the other way around. Either way, my head is almost mush front and center and my lip is bleeding. Oh, the joys of decor....I bet some C'mas pictures are just around the corner.

Christmas Decorations Galore

Yes, that time of the year has arrived when I dust off the C'mas cd's and start dragging the decorations out of storage. I am running about a week behind, but have finally started decorating. 4 trees went up today; 3 more to go. I have to remind Shae that this is the ONLY holiday I decorate for...

On to lighter subjects, I would love to hear all of your best ideas for losing 25 pounds in 4 weeks (and cutting a leg off is not an option...that would be more like 50 lbs. anyway...from all the muscle of course). So, any good suggestions would be most appreciated! Until next time, happy decorating...

Where Have I Been?

I was a little startled myself to see that I have posted nothing since the first of November. What in the world? Not surprising, really. I DO work from dawn til dusk (something like that) most days, and I do relish my sleep. So, that doesn't leave a whole lot of time for blogging. Actually, nothing all that exciting has been happening (except for Thanksgiving, of course). I still have indigestion from that one. Other than the spiral sliced ham getting a little "done" on top, the meal was excellent.

Jennifer and I did brave the legendary "day after Thanksgiving" sales. Now I remember why I normally stay home on that day. Traffic was ridiculous! The highlight of the day was a grande Starbucks frappaccino with extra caramel on the way to our first store, and then one more on the way home. Not to mention the two boxes of Krispy Kreme doughnuts (sorry Pam) that we brought home. All in all, this was a fabulous day!! Until next time, peace out...

Oh, My Aching Back

Yesterday got off to a beautiful albeit chilly day. We got out to our old house about 8:30 a.m. and started to work on the monumental task of "unloading" the outbuilding. We had several friends stop by (yes we have a few) and rummage through our cast away belongings. It should have been a little sad watching mounds of baby clothes go home with other people, but really I was just happy to be rid of them. They have been in storage for years; it is about time someone can get some use out of them.

There were only 2 "funniest home video" moments with me yesterday. First, I stepped back and fell (rather unladylike) over several "full" black trash bags and lay sprawling on the ground...hurt my wrist on that one. Then, while trying to help Shae carry a rather heavy wagon (not Unlce Howard's kind), the handle fell and landed on my head with a sound reminiscent of metal hitting metal. I still haven't figured that one out as I don't recall having any metal pins in my head.

So, I chalk it all up to family pictures. You know, whenever you set a date to finally get those pictures made, kids start falling around hitting their heads, and a whole mess of bumps, bruises, and scrapes ensues (usually just to the facial area). We are getting our Christmas pictures made next Tuesday, so we are going to see how many accidents we can have before then. Yippee...

To make a long story short, we finally finished up about 6:17 p.m. If it hadn't been for Dianna and Jennifer, we would still be out there now. So, thank you both for working so hard. And now, to the title of my little story...my back, legs, arms, ankles and other various body parts are slowly dying...at least until I return to my blissful life of inactivity...

Nacho Came and Went

Yes, I bought "Nach0" at Wal-mart last Friday and then patiently waited almost a week to be able to watch it with Lance and gang. My cheeks (face ones) are still hurting from all the uproarious laughter...so now, after all the anticipation, life is sort of hollow. But we'll be okay - after all, I do own it now :)

So, what is new with everyone? Tomorrow we will be embarking on the grand adventure of cleaning out the outbuilding, which is packed to the ceiling. We had planned (for a year now) to have a yard sale and now it is too cold. Hopefully the good people at Goodwill won't be cursing us tomorrow afternoon...

Good-bye for now - bills won't send themselves out.

Hayrides and Hot Chocolate

What a weekend! I started it off with completely rearranging the kitchen pantry (you guys got me in the mood with all the home improvement talk). I even found some boxes left to unpack leftover from a year ago. Exciting! Then we were off to a chilly night of hayrides, 4-wheelers, hot dogs, chili, hot chocolate and wonderful toasted marshmallows at Shae's sister's farm. We all managed to stay ON the hayride (as opposed to my first hayride experience years ago...), and returned home mostly unscathed, albeit a little sticky here and there...

P. S. I bought Nacho Libre...and I am wearing stretchy pants.....

Another day, Another dollar

Not much to report on this week so far. We currently have no home improvement projects going on :), we have no stray pets wandering around (they'd be shot) and, for that matter, I haven't even earned "another dollar". On the upside, everyone is getting over their "nastiness" of the last 2 weeks. Yeah! And hopefully, I have gotten rid of the ever present "Pfieffer Family" scattered all over the blog. We'll see...I am looking forward to watching the extremely stupid (yet somehow fascinating) movie "Nacho Libre" with Lance and the crew. Next time I travel to Wal-Mart, that movie will be mine! Woo-hoo! Until next time...

Pfieffer Family

Well, that was weird. I published a post on my blog and it showed up on Pam's...??? Help!

Pfieffer Family

How many times does "Pfieffer Family" appear on this page? A prize to the first one to come back with an accurate count...really, what is going on? I am surrounded by Pfieffer Family!! My own name is starting to look misspelled...

Pfieffer Family

Have you noticed how many times "Pfieffer Family" appears on this page? A prize to the first one to come back with an accurate count...really, what is going on? My own name is starting to look misspelled...

Pfieffer Family: Pfieffer Family

Pfieffer Family:

Honestly, you guys are making me look bad. When do you all find time to update everyone as to the "goings on" in your house?? We have a house full of sickies too (even more now that Lance and Jen brought their drooping brood over...thanks guys). Just kidding - you know we all love to snot around together - misery loves company and all. I am still trying to figure out how to navigate this whole blogging thing. After all, I am not the computer nerd in the family. Lance is running a close second with Shae now...
I will wrap for now since SOME of us have a real life...oh Darren, thanks for commenting about Gabriel's picture...I had to bring Shae in to help, otherwise you could just be reading a boring blog (or no blog at all). Now you at least have a cute picture to look at....

Pfieffer Family

Pfieffer Family

Well, here we are a few months later after our first post. Can we say "procrastination" anyone? Now that I know someone might actually read this stuff, I will try to update a little more often! Until next time...

Pfieffer Family

Hey from the Pfieffer Family.
